Swearing-in is this afternoon! Our host families from Santo Domingo come, but I wish my real fam and friends could come! Apparently US and Dominican government officials are here…and the local news! And, most importantly, the rumor is that the food afterwards is great! We’re all going out downtown afterwards and having a joint celebration with the volunteers that are COSing this week.
We got all of our final scores today. I got a 5 on the ACTFL scale in my Spanish interview!! :)
In other news, all volunteers (which we will be in a few hours!!!) are being consolidated in the capital for cholera training. Ew barf…but oh well there’s free lunch. This means I probably won’t leave for my site until Saturday.
I’ll try to post pictures from Swearing-in sometime in the future…

We’ve been watching the cholera creep towards the the DR on CNN. Hope your gut gets a rest.
